Today, we didn’t do anything but rehearsals. It was great, however really boring at the same time. Miss Bryant, who is the Y6 year leader said we did much better than the previous run throughs. We aren’t allowed backstage because a group of people were jumping on an inflatable bed and popped it. That meant John (Hannah), Michael (Amelia) and Wendy (Dana) had to lay down on the ground. Overall, everyone’s proud about each other.
Our school play is in two weeks and everyone is taking it seriously. Teachers are stressing out, when someone dosent deliver their lines correctly. I think we could improve a lot, due to the fact that the play is coming up in two weeks! I wonder how it’s going to turn out…
Today, we spent 4 lessons going through the script from the start, it went well. “The lost boys”, which are the speaking ones, got plastic bows to pretend to shoot from. After lunch, i also got complimented by miss Harrison, who is a sixth grade teacher. i cant wait till the actual play, which is happening in TWO WEEKS!!
Today, we particularly looked at the scene where we had to march while singing the song, “Following the leader”. We were not bad, but i think we can improve.
Today, mrs Grieves, who is a member of staff in our school taught us a dance that we have to learn for the play. it’s pretty complicated, but i got the hang of it.
Today’s rehearsals were all right. It turns out that i’m taking part in more than one scene, which is great. Unfortunately, some people had to leave early because we had arabic.
Today, in our break time we practiced the scene that i am speaking in. we all spoke louder and clearer as we did before, we also expressed more emotions as we acted. i think that we will accomplish a lot in the real play, in the next 4 weeks!
